Preparing your Automobile for Transport:

We will pick up the vehicle just as you would drive it everyday. We do not require you to alter the level of fuel or anything else for that matter. However, it is important that you do not pack your vehicle with personal items. The Department of Transportation "D.O.T" is very concerned with the total weight of the truck and its contents for safety reasons. Secure any loose items and always do a walk around with the driver or company representative.

Auto Shipping Insurance:

Legally all carriers must carry insurance. Our exclusive network of transport vehicles will always have Liability and Cargo Insurance.
  1. Liability Insurance - This policy has a maximum coverage of $1,000,000 on the contents of the carrier. Basically this policy will cover any damages due to driver error.

  2. Cargo Insurance - This policy limits are determined by the types of vehicles that are carried on the truck and can change from truck to truck. There is a minimum of $50,000 coverage per vehicle on the carrier required by the "D.O.T." This policy covers the scratches and dents if any that could appear.

Automobile Delivery to a Terminal:

A terminal is necessary only in the event there is not enough room for a truck to drop off your vehicle at its destination, because of a narrow or dead end street, or any other conditions that would not allow a truck to enter. Sometimes there are locations that are very difficult for our larger trucks to enter so we will opt for a terminal to make delivery. These terminals are fully licensed and insured. Terminal shipping is generally a more cost effective option versus door to door delivery.

Inoperable Auto Shipping:

These vehicles usually require the use of a "Winch" to assist in the loading process. Generally, we have to determine if the car Rolls, Brakes and Steers. Additional fees will apply based on the cars current condition.

Book Your Auto Transport in Advance:

Always try to allow 2 weeks lead time to schedule your vehicle. The more time in advance the better the rates will be and the easier it is for our carriers to arrange pick up and delivery. Expedited service is always an option if you need certain dates arranged, additional fees will apply.

How to Determine the Cost of Shipping your Automobile:

There are several factors that effect auto shipping prices. We have to determine if you would like to ship door to door or terminal to terminal. Once this is figured out then you have to decide if you would like to enclose the vehicle or ship it in an open carrier. Open transport is generally about 1/3rd less expensive. Open transport is used about 90% of the time. Contact your carrier to get the most up to date rates.

Does Automobile Size Matter when Moving?

Of course it does. A sedan is usually about $50 less then a small truck to transport. SUV's are about $100-$125 more then a sedan to ship based on there weight and size.

Auto Transport Time and Delivery Schedules:

Here are a few averages that we have been seeing regularly within our carrier network. From east to West its usually 7-14 days. North to South is about 5-7 days. Often times, weather conditions are a major factor as well as the time of the year and location of the transport.
